Billing Plans
ConnectedYou currently has two rate plans:
Standard Rate plans - Indicated as S1 or S2
Usage-based rate plans - Indicated as UB1 or UB2
Standard Rate Plans
Under this rate plan, customers pay only for SIMs in an ACTIVE state in a calendar month i.e. irrespective of any network activity in the calendar month if the state has ever been ACTIVE, the customer will be charged for that SIM.
Few scenarios are as below:
SIMs were either READY or SUSPENDED from the first day until the last day of the calendar month without any network activity, these SIMs won’t be included in the month-end invoicing.
SIMs were SUSPENDED on the first day of the calendar month and remained in the same state for the entire month, but these SIMs will be considered ACTIVE while invoicing for the respective month.
SIMs were SUSPENDED on any given day of the calendar month, they will still be considered ACTIVE while invoicing for the respective month.
SIMs were ACTIVATED on any given day of the calendar month including the last day of the month and if there was no network activity they will still be considered ACTIVE while invoicing for the respective month and the MRCs will be applied.
MRCs per SIM would be the same for the entire month if the SIM was ACTIVE for only one day or the entire month. (Note: usage charges would be on top of this if any).
Auto-Activation applies to this rate plan wherein If not Activated a SIM profile becomes Auto-Active after completion of 6 months from the date of delivery. At this point, the MRC is applied. This state is not yet visible on the IOH platform, but you will receive a report for the month along with the invoice.
Usage-Based Rate Plan
Under this rate plan, customers pay only for SIMs if there is any network activity in a given month. There are no charges for the SIMs just being in an ACTIVE state. i.e. if the SIM remains active the entire calendar month but there has been no network activity it won’t be considered for invoicing for the respective month.
Few scenarios are as below:
SIMs could be in any billing state ACTIVE/READY/SUSPENDED for the entire month but if there is no network activity there would be no charges (including MRCs or Usage charges).
SIMs could be SUSPENDED on the first day of the calendar month but if there was any network activity on that day, it would be considered as ACTIVE for the respective month and the MRC will be applied along with the usage charges if any in the invoice.
SIMs could be in any state for the given month, but if there is any network activity on any given day of the month - SIMs will be considered as ACTIVE and respective charges will be applied.
